Returns Policy
We hope you'll love our clothes as much as we do and we understand that buying clothing online is convenient but that sometimes things go wrong. We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
We evaluate the returns on an individual basis, but to be eligible for any return you'll need the receipt or proof of purchase, and the items must be returned in the same condition as you receive them. This means the items:
- Must be unworn, unwashed, and unaltered
- Must have original tags attached
- Must be stain free (e.g. free of deodorant stains, makeup stains, pet hair, etc.)
- Must be odour free (e.g. free from cigarette smoke, perfume, etc.)
- Must be free of scuff marks (e.g. free of scuff marks on the underside of the shoe, etc)
Items which are not received in their original condition will be returned to the sender, so please take care when trying on your items and returning your items. In the unlikely event that a returned item is considered unacceptable, the decision to reject the item is final and non negotiable.
We would appreciate items returned in their original packaging but it isn't required under the Australian Consumer Law, which we will always stand by. An example of original packaging is the original shoe box that the shoes came in, or the packaging the necklace came on and in.
Faulty Products
Please inspect your order as soon as you receive it to see if the items are defective, damaged or the wrong items. Products deemed faulty have manufacturing defects or faults, such as broken stitching or chains, faulty or missing zips, buttons, snaps, buckles, bands and velcro, missing gems or charms, and prints, embellishments or trims that have come off or are broken.
If you find any faults, please contact us immediately at returns@booboos.com.au, so that we can evaluate and fix the issue. This will allow us to quickly determine if a return is warranted before you return the item. Once the item is returned, we will re-evaluate the item's faults or damage and contact you with the decision.
When contacting us, please include:
- Your name on the order
- Item you are returning – name of item, size and colour
- Order number (if ordered online) or a picture of the receipt (if you bought it in the store)
- Picture/s of the damage or fault
- How you would like this resolved – item fixed, replaced or money refunded (money will only be refunded in the case of a major fault)
Please be advised:

Fixing the item:
- Is at no cost to you
- May not be possible for all items or if the damage is too extensive
- Once it is fixed, it will be returned at no cost to you

Replacing an item:
- Due to the fast turnover of stock, there is no guarantee that we will have the design, colour or size of the item you want replaced
- It is vital for you to contact us immediately, so we can put aside a replacement item
- Once we receive the faulty item back, we will send out the replacement item
- The replacement item will be sent at no cost to you

Refunds:
- Only issued once we receive the item back and approve the refund
- If approved, you'll be refunded the purchase cost of the item through your original payment method
- Postage costs will only be refunded if the order only had that one item
- Please remember, it can take time for the banks or credit companies to process the refund
When returning the faulty product from within Australia, please include a receipt of your postage charges. We'll refund the basic costs of returning an item to us, i.e. the standard postage cost. However, we will not refund the postage costs if you include any non faulty products in the same package, e.g. exchanges. We do not refund the postage costs for items returned from outside Australia.
Exchanges
We gladly exchange any product!
However, due to how popular our clothes are, we have a very fast turnover of stock. So, there is no guarantee that we will have the design, colour or size of the item you want. Please contact us immediately at returns@booboos.com.au so we can put aside the item you want, if we still have it. If we don't have the item, you may choose something else or to receive store credit for the purchase cost (excluding the postage charges).
When we receive your item to be exchanged, we will then send you the replacement item. We do not cover the postage cost of you returning the item for exchange but we will send the replacement item at no cost to you.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
All items are returnable, except gift cards and store credit. Gift cards and store credit cannot be exchanged for cash and does not earn interest.
How to Return Your Item
In Store:
The fastest way to return items and to avoid delivery costs, is to physically return your item to our Coolangatta store. Make sure you remember to bring your store receipt or online order receipt. Then we can quickly discuss and resolve the issue on the spot.
Post:
If returning to the store is not possible or convenient, please start a return by immediately contacting us at returns@booboos.com.au. Contacting us immediately allows us to put aside a replacement item, if we still have the design, colour and size of the item you want.
When contacting us, please include:
- Your name on the order
- Order number (if ordered online) or a picture of the receipt (if bought in store)
- Item you are returning – name of item, size and colour
- Picture/s of the damage or fault, if returning faulty items
- For faulty items, how you would like this resolved – item fixed, replaced, or money refunded
- For exchanges, what item would like in exchange – name of item, size and colour

Australia Post has a tracking number on all packages without any extra cost to you. Send this tracking number to returns@booboos.com.au.
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO:
- ADDRESS THE RETURN PROPERLY
- SEND US THE TRACKING NUMBER
AUSTRALIA POST WILL HOLD RETURNS AND NOT RELEASE THEM TO US OTHERWISE.
Remember:
You are responsible for the items until they reach us. So, please make sure that you package the items appropriately, to prevent any damage to them. It is recommended that you use a traceable delivery method for all returns and insure your delivery so you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged. If you choose to not do these recommendations, you are responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping.
